What is mindfulness? how can we deeply understand mindfulness?
The concept of mindfulness originally originated in Buddhist meditation and developed from zazen, meditation, enlightenment, etc. Purposeful, conscious, paying attention to and being aware of everything in the present moment, and not making any judgment, any analysis, any reaction to everything in the moment, but simply being aware of it and paying attention to it. Later, mindfulness was developed into a systematic psychotherapy, that is, mindfulness therapy, which is psychotherapy based on "mindfulness".
Mindfulness was first introduced to the West in the seventies and eighties of the twentieth century, attracted the attention of the psychological community, introduced and scientific research by Joe Kabakin and other scholars, and gradually improved and integrated into one of the most important concepts and techniques in contemporary psychotherapy (mindfulness), and thus gave birth to mindfulness stress reduction therapy (MBSR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance realization therapy (ACT), mindfulness cognitive therapy (MBCT) and other contemporary famous psychological therapies.
HOW SHOULD WE PRACTICE MINDFULNESS?
The practice of mindfulness and the extensive use of mindfulness, including the use of mindfulness in anxiety, depression, and pain situations, as well as how to creatively use mindfulness in marriage, intimate relationships, parent-child relationships, aging, death, etc.
At the moment, what thoughts or feelings are happening in your body and mind?
Maybe I forgot. But it doesn't matter. Recognize and accept this state, just know it, don't judge it, touch it as gently as it is, and your mindfulness may be beginning.
Mindfulness is awareness in a specific way, that is, on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgementally." It is that consciousness does not diverge and wander in the virtual world of thought, but focuses on real things.
First, mindfulness means "conscious awareness." Sometimes we use the terms "mindfulness" and "awareness" as generic. This is not a good practice. I may be aware that I am a little impatient, but that doesn't mean I'm consciously aware of impatience. In order to remain mindful, I need to be consciously aware of myself, not vaguely and habitually aware of myself. For example, knowing that we are eating does not mean that we are thinking clearly when we eat.
